Etro Fall Winter 2021 collection pays homage to Rudolf Nureyev and Jimi Hendrix

After all, the original founder of the Italian Maison Gimmo Etro , had built his empire in 1968 with the aim of freeing the spirit of people. <a href="https://www.lofficielitalia.com/interviste/veronica-etro-intervista-fashion-designer-creative-director-wonderwomen" target="_blank">Today, her daughter Veronica Etro retraces her father&#39;s footsteps</a> , staging a digital fashion show at Milan Fashion Week that outlines the concept of individualism. Nureyev&#39;s photographs that show his passion for furniture design by Renzo Mongiardino are combined with the brand&#39;s exotic style. The indie influence of Jimi Hendrix that is felt through embroidered coats, fringed blazers and vest dresses. The new graphics structured by embroidery are inspired by the geometries of the theatrical costumes of Russian ballets, taken from the Gimmo Etro collection archive. And again tapestry prints, Paisley and spotted animalier that celebrate Hendrix&#39;s style.

In a location covered with Paisley motifs reminiscent of tribals, the Etro models parade to the notes of a live performance by the Calfornian singer-songwriter <a href="https://www.instagram.com/arlissa/" target="_blank">Arlissa.</a> Patchwork, handcrafted knitwear are contrasted with quilted jackets and androgynous suits made with fabrics taken from furnishings. Etro&#39;s unmistakable daywear is structured with sweatshirts, denim jeans, leggings and outerwear with a metropolitan aesthetic: bomber jackets, parkas and down jackets. The new Pegaso camera case shoulder bags in canvas are enriched with pockets and pouches, and accompany the Etro woman, distinguished by her free spirit.
