In the publication she says: &ldquo;Prove that I&#39;m wrong, but I don&#39;t think there is a single person who looks better with the hair parted on the side than parted in the middle&rdquo;. Then, she gives instructions to break the wires in both ways to feel the difference between the first and second versions.

That was enough to open up another discussion between both generations - and for the emergence of #MiddlepartChallenge. In it, several <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/moda/o-que-as-marcas-de-luxo-estao-fazendo-no-tiktok">TikTok</a> users make videos dividing their hair to the sound of Lady-Gleep&#39;s original audio, talking about attempts to make Generation Z accept them or even debating the idea.

Is there any correct option?

Just as we are living in an era where dictating rules in fashion fell apart, the same idea goes for beauty - as the right or wrong side to wear your hair. But, what would make Generation Z so obsessed with the strands split in the middle? One theory launched by The Cut is that this new generation is more open to accepting flaws and that, therefore, showing their face would not be a problem.

On the other hand, for people with such an open mind, creating this obligation that everyone needs to adopt the strands divided in the middle can become quite contradictory.

The challenge

The hashtag #millenialsvsgenz only grows and now has 11.1M views, while #middlepartchallenge is even bigger, at 35.2M. On the network, the challenge continues to win new fans and hilarious videos showing how it is possible to get better with your hair tossed aside - just as there are others that will look good with them in the middle.

The conclusion?

Each generation is showing its favorite options - even if it is not something that is really defined by the decade in which you were born. Although the fight can bring jokes such as &ldquo;parting the hair in the middle to be well accepted by the generation Z&rdquo;, there is no real idea about which side is &ldquo;right&rdquo;.
