After joining the Kering brand in 2018, Daniel Lee has announced that he is moving on.

After three years of reshaping <a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/Fashion/bottega-veneta-new-it-bag-daniel-lee" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bottega Veneta</a>'s direction as Creative Director, fashion designer <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/bottega-veneta-digital-journal-daniel-lee" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daniel Lee</a> will exit the brand. In a statement from both Lee and the Maison, both parties revealed described the move as a "joint decision to end their collaboration."&nbsp;&nbsp;
Said Lee, &ldquo;My time at Bottega Veneta has been an incredible experience. I am grateful to have worked with an exceptional and talented team and I am forever thankful to everyone who was part of creating our vision. Thank you to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/influential-fashion-families-hermes-fendi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fran&ccedil;ois-Henri Pinault</a> for his support, and for the opportunity to be part of Bottega Veneta&rsquo;s story.&rdquo;
Pinault, the Chairman and CEO of Kering, the brand's parent company, thanked Lee for the work he brought to the label during his tenure. &ldquo;I am very grateful to Daniel for having brought his passion and energy to Bottega Veneta," said Pinault. "His singular vision made the House&rsquo;s heritage relevant for today and put it back to the center of the fashion scene. I would like to personally thank him for the unique chapter that he has written in the long history of <a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/bottega-veneta-green-corset-leather-belt-instagram" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bottega Veneta</a>."

Bottega Veneta CEO Lee Rongone also wished Lee well, saying, &ldquo;I would like to thank Daniel for his dedication to the House over the past three years. He provided Bottega Veneta with a fresh perspective and a new sense of modernity, while remaining respectful of the brand&rsquo;s fifty-year heritage. The remarkable growth of the brand over the last three years bears testimony to the success of his creative work.&rdquo;
The British designer joined the House in 2018 after holding previous roles at Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, and Donna Karan. He also served as the Director of Ready-to-Wear Design at Celine under Phoebe Philo's tutelage. During Lee's time at the helm of Bottega Veneta, he sought to reinvent the brand's ready-to-wear line and highlight its reputation for well-crafted and minimalist, but still unique accessories. His new vision, which was coined "<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/bottega-veneta-fall-2020-runway-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Bottega</a>," was widely successful. The Pouch bag, which launched in 2019, is the fastest-selling bag in Maison's history.
No successor for the role has been named.&nbsp;
