Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 at just 36 years old.

Almost 60 years have passed since the death of&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/marilyn-monroe-almost-married-prince-rainier-monaco-grace-kelly-husband" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Marilyn Monroe</a>, one of the most mysterious and shocking occurrences in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/hollywood-stars-with-most-oscars-wins" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hollywood</a>. The famous actress was found lifeless by security at her home on the night of August 4, 1962 at the age of 36. She was at the height of her career and the circumstances of her death were never clear, giving rise to several conspiracy theories. Now, a new documentary explores one of those theories, saying the Kennedy family was involved in the accident.&nbsp;

The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes, which is available now on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/emily-in-paris-netflix-online-store-season-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Netflix</a>&nbsp;and directed by Emma Cooper, does not show any conclusions but provides a new context to her death. The documentary used more than 650 taped interviews conducted by journalist Anthony Summers with her friends, co-workers, and even private investigators hired to spy on her.
The film suggests that&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/remembering-marilyn-monroe-s-fashion-legacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Monroe</a>&nbsp;was having an affair with Robert Kennedy and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/fashion/the-most-beautiful-couples-of-the-90s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">his brother, then-President John Kennedy</a>, and says the family tried to cover up that Robert went to Los Angeles and called the actress on the night of his death. Furthermore, witnesses from the ambulance say that she was not dead when the EMT arrived.

Journalist John Sherlock says she actually died in the ambulance, but they later took her body back to the house. &ldquo;This completely changes what we thought we knew about her mysterious death. It also suggests that the circumstances of her death were covered up. Evidence suggests that [the circumstances] were covered up because of connections between her and the Kennedy brothers,&rdquo; says Anthony Summers in the film.
