THE BEGINNING

In this year, Louis Cartier designed the intertwined ring with three bands in yellow gold, rose gold and white gold. This revolutionary creation would become a distinctive code of the Cartier style.

1930-1960

Both the Trinity ring and bracelet were met with total success, becoming a symbol of elegance à la française . Great personalities were irresistibly involved in this object, thanks to the fluidity of its mobile rings, round on the outside and smooth on the inside. The ring was the subject of overlays from its first appearance, in fact, to the French poet and playwright Jean Cocteau   he liked to wear two rings at the same time.

1981

In this year, the three-band ring adopts the name "Trinity" and in the Must de Cartier version, the rose gold band is engraved.

Affirming once again that its innovative design stands the test of time, this year Cartier presents the launch of the Trinity Ruban solitaire .
