After more than a month since it was <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kim-kardashian-kanye-west-are-getting-divorced" target="_blank">reported</a> that <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/queen-elizabeth-ii-ban-kim-kardashian-london-hotel" target="_blank">Kim Kardashian</a>&nbsp;was preparing to separate from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/kanye-west-30-million-dollar-lawsuit-sunday-service-labor-practices" target="_blank">Kanye West</a>, today, <a href="https://people.com/tv/kim-kardashian-files-for-divorce-kanye-west/?utm_medium=browser&amp;utm_source=people.com&amp;utm_content=20210219&amp;utm_campaign=828368" target="_blank">People</a> reported a source confirmation that the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/kim-kardashian-west-launched-a-fragrance-with-the-help-of-violet-grey" target="_blank">KKW beauty</a> mogul has officially filed for divorce from her husband of seven years. The source also claims&nbsp;that the two have mutually agreed to shared custody of their children, both legally and physically. In addition, the standing pre-nuputial agreement is not being contested by either side, and the two are on the road to finalizing the terms of their divorce.

The couple formerly known as Kimye got <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kim-kardashian-kanye-relationship-timeline-divorce" target="_blank">married</a> May 2014. They share four children: <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/north-west-kim-kardashian-painting" target="_blank">North</a>, Saint, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/politics-culture/kim-kardashian-and-kanye-west-welcome-baby-girl-via-surrogate" target="_blank">Chicago</a>, and Psalm.

Signs of tension between the two have been noticeable for some time. Last year, West announced his bid for President of the United States, after coming out in support of Donald Trump two years prior. During the start of the coronavirus pandemic, West was also noticeably missing from the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop%20culture/watch-kardashians-prank-justin-bieber-tiktok-facetime-trend" target="_blank">family</a> home, which was confirmed when Kardashian mentioned on social media that he had gone to his ranch in Wyoming and left her with the four kids. In July of last year, West also tweeted a series of now-deleted&nbsp;messages which&nbsp;made serious allegations about Kardashian and her family, who attributed the erratic statements to West&#39;s bipolar disorder.

After appearing in none of the family&nbsp;Christmas photos,&nbsp;<a href="https://pagesix.com/2021/01/05/kim-kardashian-kanye-west-getting-a-divorce-shes-done/" target="_blank">Page Six</a>&nbsp;reported in early January of this year&nbsp;that multiple sources confirmed Kardashian had hired celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser. According to the sources, &quot;Kim got Kanye to go up [to Wyoming] so&nbsp;they could live separate lives&nbsp;and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She&rsquo;s done.&quot;

The source continued, &quot;She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/politics-culture/kim-kardashian-unexpected-advocacy" target="_blank">lawyer</a>, she is serious about her&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop%20culture/kim-kardashian-west-charity-criminal-justice" target="_blank">prison reform campaign</a>. Meanwhile, Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy shit, and she&rsquo;s just had enough of it.&rdquo; The Kardashian insider is referencing to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars&#39; burgeoning career as a lawyer (she is studying for the bar exam) and criminal justice reform advocate.

At the time of Page Six&#39;s report, the splitting&nbsp;of assets between the two multi-millionaires was unclear, specifically as it pertained to their <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/photos-kim-kanye-70-million-mansion" target="_blank">home in Calabasas,</a> California. The source said, &quot;Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that&rsquo;s where the kids are based and growing up. That is their home.&rdquo; However, it&#39;s undetermined at this time how the property will be divided&nbsp;between the two.
