Is Taylor Swift's Brand New Song "You All Over Me" About Joe Jonas?
Taylor Swift just released a brand new song, and it's safe to say, we totally adore it. You All Over Me (From The Vault) is a country ballad that takes us back to when we were fifteen and got our first heartbroken. Tears, old trucks, graffiti on the wall and the typical songwriting style that made Swift one of the best songwriter of our generation, shapes this song, turning into a real country jam. Singing with her the angelic voice of Maren Morris that gives the final touch to the single.
You All Over Me (From The Vault) is the first single from the upcoming album Fearless (Taylor's Edition) out everywhere on the 9th of April. Written back in 2009, the song tells the story of an heartbreaking breakup that left Miss Swift completely lost. Now, no one can help but wonder, who is this song about?
It's no secret that You All Over Me (From The Vault) is an unreleased song that didn't make into the first version of Taylor Swift second album Fearless, because, as Taylor said "there were too many breakup songs in the album". Now that she have the chance of re-recording her old albums (for of all the mess with Scooter Braun and her ex- manager Scott Borchetta) her brand new label let her completely free to choose what to include and non-include in the new version. Fearless (Taylor's Edition) will feature 26 songs with 6 never-been-heard songs.
As we all know, when Fearless came out, Miss Swift was dating non-other than a famous pop star: Joe Jonas. She famously wrote a couple of (tear jerker) songs about him, like Forever and Always and Last Kiss. We thought this was it, we were wrong. You All Over Me just became the third songs that the girl released about the love story with the Jonas Brother. Lyrics like "The best and worst day of June, Was the one that I met you, with your hands in your pockets" are similar to the one in Speak Now’s Last Kiss.
The couple dated for some months in the summer of 2009 and ended things on (not so) good terms when Joe called Taylor and broke up with her in a 27 seconds calls. But time can heal most anything and the two are now good friends (as Taylor wrote in Invisible strings "Cold was the steel of my axe to grind , For the boys who broke my heart, Now I send their babies presents")
